A great way to determine whether an outfit is worth the investment is to take it for a spin before making a purchase, ideally by using items you already have in your closet. When a new collection is released—seemingly every month—rather than draining your bank account, explore your wardrobe and reconnect with old pieces. Try-ons can help you identify existing items with potential, highlight any outfit gaps, clarify what you might want to save for, and reveal what’s not worth it. Sometimes, what looks great in theory (on a 5'10" model) may not work for you. Algorithms have conditioned us to believe that constant consumption is necessary to stay relevant — I say, put down your phone (after you finish reading this) and get creative. It’s far more satisfying and saves a whole lot of cash.
I’ve recreated some outfits from Fall 2025, but before we dive in, a heads up: the images presented by The Row were edited, and the actual product colours are cooler than they appear. Earthy and warm… not so much. It’s nice but not as vibrant as expected, and I was a bit disappointed when it came time to pre-order because my connection to this collection was closely tied to tones.
In no particular order:
I like the streamlined look and length of the coat in #43, and I think this is a simple outfit to try at home. Don’t forget the tuck and pose — that’s everything.
My edit: I worked with my longer Row Mintra coat, clipped the back to make it fitted, and styled it with my Baltica shirt, Pietro pants (any straight-leg slacks will work), and these boots, which I’ve been wearing on repeat. My feet are nervy and sensitive, and I usually prefer a round or square toe because they allow room for the natural shape of my foot, but these are soft and comfortable, and I can walk a reasonable distance in them. I’m a size 36.5, but I went down a half size per the brand’s suggestion (when they only offered whole sizes), and they fit perfectly. They now offer half sizes, so take your true size.
Takeaway: I’d like a slim coat (everything I have is oversized or too long), and I’m intrigued by The Row boots—that vamp is cool, and I like the lower heel. Might be worth a try.
I enjoy a monochromatic look occasionally, and I like layering shirts too, but I tend to overheat when I double up, even in the lightest cotton.
My edit: I pulled out two of my beige Massimo shirts, and you know how much I love The Row Eglitta cords; baby, wide, or whale, they’re all beautiful. Mid-rise, wide leg, and so soft I’d wear them to bed if they weren’t so expensive. Mine are an older colour but this pair is gorgeous. Paired with my Fairy shearling slippers, classic belt, and mini NuTwin bag.
Takeaway: I’m good; I have what I need to make this work.
I like this because I’ve done it. It’s always lovely to see bits of yourself in a collection, and layering skirts over pants was my signature look for nearly a decade.
My edit: This half-skirt by La Collection (I took a size 1), the Luka shirt (very oversized), Eglitta jeans, and Soft loafers (reviewed here).
Takeaway: I need nothing; this will do.
Look 24 is effortlessly chic from head to toe and I’m drawn to it because it’s already part of my core style DNA.
My edit: I’m in my Tora jacket (back of the closet no more), a Jil Sander scarf, Avianna skirt, Elastic Ranger boots, and jewel belt.
Takeaway: As much as I like my Jewel belt, I've decided it doesn’t work here; it’s too broad. I’ll do a skinny come fall and I’ve been eyeing this one (here too).
One of my favourite looks because it’s just enough of a departure from my go-to but still holds key codes. The only issue is the greens and browns aren’t as deep as depicted in the images; the trench is closer to grey, and the shirt isn’t khaki green; it’s just khaki. So naturally, I took some liberties in my recreation and went warmer.
My edit: My La Collection coat from the His/Hers line is the perfect oversized trench, and the grey-beige tone goes with everything. I took a size 0. The shirt is an old Studio Nicholson (this one is excellent; I purchased it), and this bag is light and spacious.
Takeaway: The Row tote is a change from my usual, and I quite like it, though if I buy it, I’ll most likely opt for black.
As mentioned, skirt-over-pants was my go-to uniform for many years, and this pared-back take is fresh and modern. I wanted all the pieces in this puzzle, but I held back, and before I closed out my pre-order, I think I removed the skirt and pants from my cart. I’m not bothered about the pants, but passing on the skirt has given me pause as I’m now taxed with finding a very specific alternative: thin wool, pockets, straight silhouette. It sounds simple, but what usually happens is I can get close but not close enough, and then I end up with the OG anyway.
My edit: Belt (it’s reversible), half-skirt and multi-functional Macha scarf (see the detail in this reel), old Row Pietro pants, Teatime boots, and velvet Penelope beanie (just because).
Takeaway: It’s close, but I need the skirt.
I hope you enjoyed the ride; let me know how your closet raid goes.

Thank you for this great read Neelam! Love seeing you re-create these new looks from TR. It’s such a nice reminder that if we take the time to look, we already have what we seek. Look 8 is one of my favorites as well.
Great post! I’ve been working toward minimizing my wardrobe. Key high quality pieces that I love and work well together. Incorporating what I have takes a little more intention but it helps to curb impulse buying which rarely works out! I’ve just retired so my clothing needs have changed a lot!
