A new series of posts where I’ll spare you the chatter and just get to the links. This one ran long (you’ll have to open the app to view all of it).
The colour of this skirt makes me very happy (I have a coat that does the same). The colour is rich, bright, and warm. It’s a soft wrap-style skirt with ties and it’s unlined. I took size small to get the length. The shirt is sold out in the wool but here’s the silk version. On the right, same idea but with white. I’ve even done a tone-on-tone look with this skirt - it’s special and eye-catching.
I felt very laid back but also elegant in this pairing and it had a lot to do with the way the pieces moved. The COS shirt is an old one but the one I’ve linked will do the trick. I usually take a size 34 in their tops, works out to an xs/s. This belt is very classy with the elongated gold buckle and slim width. It fits small but I wanted to wear it floating above the belt line occasionally (at my proper waist) so I chose xs, otherwise I’d have gone up. I tried the MC Hammer pants on in Paris this past March and they’re cartoonishly cool. I like the pleating and the exaggerated legs and they feel too soft to be called denim. They fit large, go down a size. I’m in a 2 and needed the 0 but I had the waist pinched and length hemmed (of course). Paired with my Canal boots (they’re sold out but the loafers work just as well and they fit a half size large). The earrings and necklace/pendant were pieces I received from Mejuri for an ad I did for them but they’re constantly in the rotation now and every time I wear them, someone will ask about them. They’re simple and beautiful. And now for the bag (also here) - a friend of mine who works for The Row influenced me when we met up during my summer trip to NYC and she brought it jam packed (must have weighed three pounds). I wanted it immediately. I love the colour and texture and how it adds a little complexity to my minimal outfits. I’ve been wearing it even on cold days and I’ll take it with me on vacation too.
The blazer was a good one - a sample sale score from a couple of years ago but this one is a reasonable alternate. I’ve been enjoying grey a little more lately and especially with black and brown. I’ve had these jeans for a while but I have the old sizing (I took a 0 and they have room). I didn’t have the waist nipped so the belt helps. They’re slim and straight, and a change from my typical oversized man pants. In the new sizing, I’m between 24 and 25 (usually 25 works best). The belt is classic and I have both the silver and gold…they’re staples. I have size small in them because in the xs, there wasn’t enough slack left and they looked stubby. And now for the shoes! I waited a long time before I bit the bullet and coughed up the money to buy them at full retail. Worth every single penny. I bought both the black and tofu. Super comfortable, soft, and true to size. By the way, these socks are my favourite and they’re thin enough for the loafers. And again, Estelle.
I tried this jacket on at Massimo and came home with it but the fabric was a little irritating against my sensitive skin so I returned it but I think about it all the time. I’m wearing a size small - go up in size to get an oversized look (my usual size is xs but it looked too cropped). The colour is so pretty and looks great against the putty grey shirt. I’m wearing a UK6 but a UK4 would have been better. And get yourself a white denim skirt, they go with everything so they work hard! I love them in the winter when everything around me looks drab and it’s best to go up a size (or two) with styles that are more fitted on the model (they’ll sit lower and looser). Mine is an old Mango style and I’ve worn it a lot. The boots are exactly as the name suggests - like socks. Whole sizes only. My true size is 36.5 and I took a 37. I could have gone down to a 36 but I didn’t want all my bones on display (they’re snug) and when my nerves are compressed, my feet hurt a lot. The extra room is fine by me.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my reel and so you may be familiar with how Agathan came to me after years of stalking it. It finally made an appearance on TRR but I missed it by seconds and then I sat waiting while someone held it in their cart. I wasn’t sure they were going to release it but they did and I didn’t care that I had to pay nearly full price for it. I think the trench I linked above is a decent option and provides more warmth (mine is the weight of a plastic bag) and I’ve reviewed it on YouTube. The sneakers are The Row Marie (very old and beat up - I got a backup pair at the sample sale) and the watch was a gift and I waited a long time for the right one to turn up. They offered the women’s size but I asked for the men’s - my wrists are tiny and it overwhelms just right. The face is flat, I like the unique shape and gold face, and on the 3rd of each month, the date window turns green. Very cool. They gave me a gold link strap as well so I can play.
Maria McManus makes beautiful, functional clothing that’s made to last. She designs thoughtfully with sustainability in mind, and each season, she presents a tightly curated selection of drool-worthy pieces. She kindly sent this shirt (alternate) to me and I love it. It has a little weight to it, has snap buttons, and the colour is very flattering against my skin. It’s not too long and I could have done a small (I’m wearing xs) so feel free to go up a size. Paired with my Classic belt, Cary loafers and of course, Estelle.
I have a thing for The Row’s silk shirts and this one is special because of the colour and the subtle stripes. I took an xs but I’d be ok with a small and if I didn’t have options, that’s what I’d do. It’s so soft that your hands feel like sandpaper against it. The pants were a sale purchase (I already had the matching top, in this reel) and they’re not my typical low-rise… they sit high and bunch up like a potato sack and you need your true size because they’re generous. The heels peeking out below worked out quite well. I’ve worn them a bunch of times and I’m surprised because my feet are old and tired (like me) and I like being closer to the ground but somehow, between the cushion and the free space for my toes to splay, I’m happy in them. I took my true size but I lean narrow so I don’t spill over the rim (an issue for some). As for the tote, it’s been parked (pun intended) in my closet for too long - time to put it in the rotation. My review.
That’s all.

Love this post and honestly don’t mind any length of “rambling” either, please don’t hold back! It’s helpful to understand the attire and accessory choices being made 😻
Wait I am confused. I thought you were selling your Estelle bag. I guess not. I love this ' Get down to business " of what you are wearing...Like taking a shot of tequila with the girls...and thank you for the alternatives options...always love a good COS...
